Thank you President Bush and Vice President Cheney

Since it's Inaguration Day I'll take a break from my "2008 In Review" posts to thank our outgoing President and Vice President for all they have done for our country. Contrary to what the liberal press and the liberal democrats would have you believe, President Bush and Vice President Cheney did a great job. They achieved some very important goals despite the fact that the Congress, with the help of the liberal media, seemed to fight against everything they tried to accomplish. President Bush is an intelligent, honest and sincere man who had the good of our country in mind when he made decisions and he made some very difficult ones during his presidency. Fred Barnes wrote an excellent piece for the Weekly Standand, Bush's Achievements: 10 Things the President Got Right, on the accomplishments of the Bush Administration. Now about Vice President Dick Cheney. The liberal media did a great job of ruining the reputation of this good and honest man who is a true patriot. I am absolutely amazed at his ability to do his job and at the same time handle the constant barrage of attacks from the left. They came up with accusation after accusation that never amounted to anything. They all just hit the headlines, bounced around for a few weeks and then faded into the background. You can be sure that if there had been anything substantial to any of the accusations he would have been impeached, forced to resign or in prison by now. It's a testament to me just how squeeky clean he must be. Did you notice that the attacks stopped after the media got egg on their faces about the whole naked lady in the sunglasses fiasco? I guess they were worried that people might figure out what they were really up to.

I have been very impressed at the graciousness that both Bush and Cheney have shown despite the vicious vocal attacks that have been constantly made against them. They are a class act.
