Mike, Karla, Chris, Angela, and Tom went to the Thurston County Republican Convention as delegates on April 12th. Mike is a precinct officer so he was an automatic delegate and the rest of us were elected at our caucuses. Celestia was in Turkey so she couldn't go even though she had been elected. We listened to speeches and helped elect delegates to go to the state convention. It's a pretty interesting process. Mike and I have gone before but I think this was the kids' first experience with it. Having gone to the caucus and the county convention I can see how important it is that good people get involved in the local political process. So get involved if you can.
