"Celebrate the 60's"
Joe's last Timberline choir concert was in June 2011. They sang lots of songs from the 1960's. Mr. Shaw was a great teacher and made choir lots of fun so Joe had a great time in choir during his junior and senior years. He sang in the Symphonic Choir and also a fun choir of young men that practiced after school called the Man Choir. He was the lowest bass so during several concerts when they needed someone to do a really low part Joe was asked to do them. He got to do some really fun things both singing and speaking low. I remember one speaking part he did really low and slow. All the girls in the audience screamed and cheered. Joe's voice has provided a lot of fun experiences for him and others and has also given him a way to connect with people at school, not only because of choir performances but especially because of his talent for voice impressions. It's been a wonderful blessing in his life.
