May Oregon trip

The largest picture is a favorite photo of Mark and Ethan in a very cool setting from a trip to Oregon in May. I took Liz, Ethan and Rachel home after their visit to Olympia and stayed a few days. While there we went to the train station in town and saw a huge steam engine that was on a tour through the northwest. The photo is of us posing with the train conductor. The other two photos along with the large one were taken another day on a hike up in The Eagle Cap Wilderness. Mark drove us most of the way up in his parents' Jeep (We only got stuck in the snow once) and then we took a hike. When we left the car the weather was pretty calm but after we'd hiked a while we could see a storm off in the distance so we turned around and headed back. The storm moved quite fast so we were getting blown around by a cold wind and pelted with rain before we made it back to the car. I was a little nervous about the lightning that was headed our way too since we had to climb over a hill with some tall trees on it on our way to the car.
