MTC - The Map Photos and Lao Name Tag

December 22, 2011 - Tom and his companion point to their mission destination and language-origin country.  At the time these photos were taken he didn't know that he would also be called to speak Mien Chinese.  In fact, so far he has used the Mien more than the Lao so he knows it better.  He also learned to read Thai while in the MTC because the materials they would use are written in Thai.  He said that people who speak Lao can understand Thai because it is so similar but people who speak Thai can't understand Lao.
